Steven J. Kalish

Mr. Kalish is Of Counsel to the Firm and has spent his entire career as an energy and transportation lawyer. Currently he represents a major utility with respect to natural gas pipeline issues and assists the Firm with general energy advice to clients. He began his career as a staff attorney at the Interstate Commerce Commission and spent the remainder of his career in prominent Washington, D.C. firms. Over his career, he has focused his practice in public utilities law, economic regulation, administrative law, and administrative and appellate litigation. He has represented regulated entities, the customers of regulated entities, and other interested parties in rulemaking, rate setting, and licensing matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (natural gas and electricity), the Interstate Commerce Commission and the Surface Transportation Board (railroads, motor carriers, freight forwarders and property brokers), the Federal Maritime Commission (ocean shipping), the Civil Aeronautics Board (airlines) the Department of Transportation (motor carrier licensing and safety), state regulatory agencies, and state and federal courts.

Mr. Kalish is a graduate of The University of Massachusetts, B.A. (Economics) and received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
